Dr. Barbara Preussner

“I once had a patient that never smiled (I mean never), and she was in close contact with people every day. During her first visit, my heart broke as I realized why she was so self-conscious about her smile. Her teeth were chipped and black with decay. When she saw her smile in the mirror after her treatments were finished, she broke down and cried happy tears. I was so honored to be the first to see her smile after so long.”

Beginnings

As far back as Junior High School, Dr. Preussner knew she wanted to be a dentist. She pursued her dream, becoming the first person in her family to go to college. Following graduation, she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Leadership & Training

Dr. Preussner has completed extensive post graduate training with both the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study and Spear Education. She also leads a monthly Spear Study Group and is an instructor and faculty member with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.

Home Life

She and her husband have two amazing kids – a daughter who is a teacher in Washington, DC and a son who is an architect in Portland, Maine. She is a Lions Club member and enjoys gardening, creating flower landscapes, dancing, skiing, and staying active.
